Darren Grover - Newhaven and Bishopstone

Darren knows our local area – he grew up here, attended local schools and now chooses to live and work here.

Darren has worked with local Lib Dems including Graham Amy and Carla Butler to fight for what our area needs. Whether it’s fighting for our sandy beach, standing up against the incinerator that was dumped on local people, or trying to protect local services such as support for vulnerable children and our Post Office, he has and will continue to put our local area and local people first.

Like many of you, Darren thinks that for too long the Conservative-run District and County Councils have ignored local residents and that our area has been neglected. That is why he wants to stand up for local people at County Hall.

Darren is listening to local residents’ concerns and will fight for Newhaven and Bishopstone to make our voices heard. He will fight to improve the state of our roads, for investment in our schools, to protect services which support vulnerable people and will fight for our much-loved open spaces - he will put you and our area first.

When not campaigning for our area, Darren works for the emergency services helping children across East Sussex. In his spare time, he enjoys photography and writing non-fiction books, having recently authored a series of chemistry revision guides for an international publisher.
