Peter and local Lib Dems are pressing for cuts in leakage.

Peter Gardiner, the Lib Dem candidate for the Ringmer by-election on August 17th, is calling on South East Water and the Environment Agency to reconsider plans to construct a new reservoir at Plashett near Ringmer.

Peter says: "This reservoir is designed to produce only 18 million litres of water per day, and they are losing 68 million litres a day through leaks. They should stop the leaks before they build a reservoir which will put more pressure on the Ouse and bring heavy construction traffic to our area."
