Local Lib Dems are delighted with the new service.

Local Lib Dem campaigner, David Gray, is celebrating his successful campaign to get a regular bus service between the Landport Estate and Tesco in Lewes.

The 127 bus service is to be extended to Tesco as of the 2nd April. David, supported by local MP Norman Baker, lobbied the bus company late last year, and has now secured a firm guarantee that the service will begin next month.

"I'm really pleased to see that the wishes of local residents have been served. This all arose from the surveying we did at the tail end of last that showed lots of residents in Landport wanting a regular service to Tesco." says David.

"This is a great success for the Lib Dem team, as others had tried and failed to get this up and running in the past. I hope that local people will find the extended service of use, and I'll continue to work to help people in my area."

Norman Baker adds: "I'm delighted to see that David has been successful in this campaign. I discussed it with him at the end of last year and have supported the project all the way. He has proved himself to be a very effective campaigner for people in Lewes."
