Local Lib Dems want better road markings in our area.

A County Councillor has complained about the long delays in extending a yellow line in Station Road, Polegate.

Polegate, Willingdon and East Dean County Councillor Roy Martin said "I have been asking for the last three years for the yellow line at the junction of Station Road with Western Avenue to be extended on highway safety grounds and residents have waited long enough. Unless this is now dealt with immediately I will be asking for an explanation at the next meeting of the full County Council."

Local resident Rosemarie Battles added "Cars are frequently parked in Station Road which causes a safety hazard to those coming out of the junction. It really is too much that the Highway Authority disregards highway safety. This is an accident waiting to happen."
