Rosalyn St. Pierre has campaigned for the Phoenix Centre to be useful for more local people.

Proposals to revitalise the Phoenix Centre have just come before the county council.

Lewes Councillor Ann De Vecchi says: "In recent years fewer people have benefited from the services offered at the Centre.

"I support the new plan to return the centre to the wider community.

"Social events and lunch clubs will be held for those in a wider age range and for those with disability.

"The Centre may have internet and IT and a cafe for the centre is also planned."
