Polegate Liberal Democrat Councillors leapt in to action following complaints about the amount of litter in the twittens to the Polegate Town centre Car Park.

Cllr Chris Berry said "We had all received a number of complaints so decided to do something about it. It certainly looked a lot better when we had finished."

Cllr Roy Martin said "We were very disappointed with the state of the Wealden District Council owned land beside one of the twittens and the District Council have been asked to carry out a litter pick there as a priority."
