Mike Chartier and the local Lib Dem team fought successfully with local people against the county cuts to the 128 bus.

The Lib Dem campaign to save the 128 bus from the Nevill to Malling has been successful.

The County Council had been planning to cut the service for over 2 hours in the morning and afternoon. But Lib Dem County Councillor for Lewes, Rosalyn St. Pierre handed in over 700 petitions against the cuts from local people, and the County dropped their plans.

Local Lib Dem campaigner Mike Chartier says: "Thank you to the many hundreds of local people who supported the campaign. The petition showed the strength of local feeling on this issue, and the County were unable to ignore it."
