Join us for a virtual dialogue with Layla Moran, MP for Oxford West & Abingdon, on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on our education system and the particular risks for vulnerable children.
Layla has been a vocal advocate for education rights and the importance of ensuring appropriate support for all during these challenging times. Before entering parliament in 2017, Layla worked as a maths and physics teacher and she has served as the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Education since 2017, also serving as spokesperson for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport from 2019 to 2020.
Layla will be introduced by local Councillor and Lewes Liberal Democrats Parliamentary Spokesperson Oli Henman, who narrowly missed out on winning the Lewes seat from Maria Caulfield in December 2019.
This is the first in a series of dialogues with senior members of the party on a range of key issues, which will be hosted on the Zoom teleconference system and will include an initial presentation, followed by a Q&A.
Please RSVP below to receive your link to the event.
The event is free of charge but we would encourage members to make a voluntary donation if they feel able to do so.
