Save Lewes Bus station

The future of Lewes bus station is still at risk, as the owner have forced buses to route round the town and have put up heavy barrier. The proposals to build flats in place of the bus station were rejected at a meeting of the South Downs National Park Authority as new proposals will come forward from the Generator group.  Even without planning permission, the owners are still threatening to demolish the building. Public transport should be getting better, not worse as facilities are taken away. The future of Lewes bus station is at risk, and we need to keep the pressure on to make sure it is not demolished, and see a return to buses on the sitte. I/we the undersigned call on East Sussex County Council to restore bus services, and the South Downs National Park Authority to protect the site.
