Liberal Democrats East Sussex Team Welcome Christina Coleman

Christina Coleman defects from the Green Party to the Liberal Democrats

Statement from the Lewes Liberal Democrats:

We're very happy to welcome Christina to our East Sussex team. She is a strong community champion and will continue to serve her residents now as a Liberal Democrat. The Liberal Democrats will continue to offer an alternative home for any Green supporters who believe in tolerance, fairness, and the community and the environment. The Liberal Democrats, as the main opposition to Reform on East Sussex County Council, will continue to hold the council to account, and Christina joining us will give us the additional strength that will help do so. 

Christina has championed local issues since before she was elected in 2023. She is working to prevent large housing developments from destroying local habitats – and is a leading campaigner for the health of our rivers.

Christina is a passionate advocate for action on climate change and our natural environment. She has a Master’s Degree in Environment, Development and Policy and has been an independent advisor to Government on sustainable housing policy.
