Green councillors need to sort out Seaford toilets

Liberal Democrat councillors have been receiving numerous complaints about Seaford toilets.  These include toilets in Place Lane, the Salts and the Buckle which are owned and maintained by Lewes District Council.  Cllr Carolyn Lambert explains: “We have already raised this issue with the previous Green Cabinet member, Cllr Johnny Denis asking him to sort out these toilets  which are in a dreadful state.  We hope that the current Cabinet member will now take urgent action to invest in these vital facilities.  Seaford is the biggest town in Lewes District and it is essential that we get the services our residents and visitors need. Yet again, it seems that Lewes is being given priority over Seaford when it comes to investment.

"In addition, disabled residents and visitors have no Changing Places toilets despite recent claims by Green Cllr Johnny Denis.

"Seaford Town Council is taking action to sort out the Martello toilets which are its responsibility.  I am calling on Lewes District Council to do the same for the rest of the facilities in the town which are little short of a health hazard at the moment.”
